Ventilation Tunnel Robotic Inspection

The vent tunnel lifting platform was built for lifting the Andros robot into position for a surveillance mission. It was designed to deploy the Andros robot into the vent tunnel "chimney," which is simply a 3- by 3-foot square opening. This deployment pushed the limits of the Andros robot for its size, because the Andros measures 34 inches in length. The vent tunnel lifting platform is also rugged, like the rail tunnel platform, but is not capable of being disassembled.

This unit is currently contaminated and in a plywood box near the U-221 Building, but could be re-deployed if the need arose.
