Prototype Machining Facility

The prototype machining facility consists of a milling machine, lathe, and other pieces of equipment in order to design, fabricate, or modify various project components or structures.

The Mechanical Solutions Group has a full-time staff member with over 37 years experience ranging from moon rock containers to depleted uranium projectiles.

In recent years, a lot of prototypes fabricated in the machine shop have been for Radio Frequency (RF) Tag programs and ultrasonic testing projects.

The machining facility also enables team members, and other personnel, to experiment and assemble structures for further development of conceptual designs.
